Today,we were invited out for lunch, with our good friends Julie and Simon. If you remember they are the freinds that took Pino and Rags to England. They are here for a week, and have taken Ellen and Piccina for a break. Ellen and Piccina spent the whole summer with them.So we took them over to where they live, and went out for lunch. Those of you who know us,know only too well we very rarely go out together,as we don't like leaving the dogs on their own. When we arrived home, Patch was dead in the garden,he had been attacked by the big dogs.We were horrified.Nothing lke this had ever happened before. Poor little soul,he must have been terrified. We both blame ourselves for not being here and not sorting them out better before we left. We leave most of the small ones inside and it always takes us at least 45 minutes to get out.One goes here, one goes there etc!
Patch was a poor boy,who had had an awful life before we took him.All I am thankful for is that his last four plus years had been happy with us.. The big dogs had never really taken any notice of him before, why this happened is a mystery!
But today has been a lesson, some of the big ones will be put in a run, this cannot be allowed to happen. Mino is devasted. We do not know what happened,we will never know what happened, what kicked it all off. This is even more reason why one of us needs to be here. Such is our destiny! Bless you Patch X

Little Sky,the pup with the beautiful blue eyes has been rehomed. She has gone to a young man in a neighbouring village. Mino went to see where she would be living and in what conditions, and he was quite happy that Sky would be well cared for and have a good life ... Good Luck Sky.X
Abbie, the little Pup that had been found mauled by some dogs, spent a few days at the vets. She then came home to us,her wounds have all healed, but she does have a slight limp though. Not that it stops her playing with Dottie, thay are playing together the whole time.We rerally need to find Abbie a forever home. Please if anyone can help,we would do all the paper work etc and everything we could this end.. It would be very easy for you.
Then arrived a tiny wee kitten. She is gorgeous and very very affectionate. One morning last week I noticed she was not looking too well. We left her for a day to see what was going on. She had stopped eating, and her tongue was hanging out and she was constantly drooling, and the smell was awfull. Straight to the vet,he kept her in for several days.Apparently she had liicked something that had rotted her tongue, she had open wounds all over it,and a tiny peice missing in the front. She is now back with us,and dare I say seems to be getting better. She is eating again, and her tonue is out occasionally, but she is no longer drooling. With a bot of luck she will make it.
Until the next time ,Val X

It is very unusual for your dogs to fight, is it possible that maybe Patch was unwell but it wasn't something obvious to us and the other dogs picked it up? I don't know. My heart goes out to you once again.
Patch had a loving good life with you, and this is what you must remember.
I am so sorry :(
Run free sweet Patch x x x x x
